There’s a new passion driving Cebu Pacific’s eight edition of its iconic Juan for Fun backpacking adventure!
This year’s Juan For Fun takes on an inspiring route to bring personalized travel experiences to young Filipinos with #MyHashtagTrip.
From foodies going on gastronomic adventures, thrill-seekers searching for the next adrenaline-pumping activity, to eco-warriors participating in environmental projects, many young travelers are driven by their hobbies and advocacies when exploring destinations.
In this all-new Juan for Fun 2019, participants will journey around the Philippines – visiting new places, trying unique activities, and unlocking memorable travel milestones to enrich their personal passions and stories.
Cebu Pacific chose five enthusiastic and passion-driven travelers out of thousands of nominees to go on a week-long backpacking trip in search of destinations and activities that will cultivate a deeper appreciation for the country, as well as enrich their own stories.
Juan For Fun 2019 was opened to nominees aged 18-24 with amazing life stories and a meaningful reason to travel. Five (5) winners were chosen to go on a 7-day, all-expense paid trip around the country with two (2) travel buddies to join them on their epic adventure.
The Finalists were chosen for their inspiring stories on the environment, as a siege survivor, an adventurous spirit, and the joys of a first-time traveler.
The criteria for judging focused on 60% story and 40% personality. For instance, what made the nominee’s story amazing, where they wanted to travel in the Philippines and how this could change their lives, as well as the choice of their hashtags for their trips.
Nominations were closed on July 10, 2019. The chosen winners and their travel buddies are now in the midst of their all-expense paid trip from August 2-7, 2019 and include the following:
