The much-awaited final leg of the 9th Yamaha Grand Prix ultimately staged its action-packed conclusion last September 9, 2018 at the Palawan International Racing Circuit.
Masato Fernando has dominated the 150 Championship category on the Sniper 150 and remains the leader of the pack. Behind him are J.E. Inguito and Bornok Mangosong who had this last opportunity to overtake the perennial Champion.
The Dealer Cup Race was arguably the closest race in all the categories with both the Expert and Intermediate categories playing a key role in the overall points per racing team. Motorace and LYR are tied for first in statistical points with Rhean Marketing, Des Marketing, DHCI Cyclehaus, and New Nemar all looking to catch up.
The all-female category has completed its roster for a bout which redefined racing for Women in the Philippines. Champions of Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao earned their spots for the chance to be named best in the Nation. A wildcard roster also came into the fray looking to prove that they too deserved to be in the competition.
At stake as well was a slot in the Yamaha Team Pilipinas Racing to represent the flag in international competition. Here are the final results of this season’s YGP:
