THE Fraternal Order of Eagles (Philippine Eagles) Northern Mindanao Region-1 will hold its 12th NMR-1 Convention, mass induction of new members, Governor’s Night and creation of a new club exclusively for women.
The collective activity will be held tonight at 5:00 p.m. at Grand Caprice Limketkai here in Cagayan de Oro City.
Composed of 5,000 members and 19 clubs, the Fraternal Order of Eagles NMR-1 is based in Cagayan de Oro City and has been in existence since 1996. It is currently headed by Gov. Anjun Gomez.
For the affair tonight, the guest speaker will be reelectionist Sen. Cynthia Villar. She will speak immediately after the induction of the new members with inducting officer PENAPLE chairman Dr. Gilbert Gille and witnessed by Eagles national president Erlquin Lim himself.
Then a new club – the Green CdeO Lady Eagles Club – will be introduced. The charter president of the club will be Lady Eagle Odette Gomez.
In his message, convention chairman Dr. Ferdinand Miranda said that he is “indeed most delighted to be given the opportunity to serve as the Overall Chairman of this convention and I hope to bring together unique and dynamic activities that stimulate participation from all members of the fraternity.”
“I do believe everyone will take this event an avenue to celebrate the successful EY 2018 community projects of 19 active Eagles Club of NMR-1, to showcase Eagle-members’ talents and together create a new milestone of the Fraternal Order of Eagles – Philippine Eagles,” Miranda, also the vice governor of NMR-1, continued.
The activities today preceded with a Holy Mass at the Immaculate Conception Church in barangay Bulua, motorcade, plenary session and election of regional officers. It is expected that 1,000 delegates will grace the convention.
Gomez will likewise deliver his valedictory message for the year as well as a fraternal message from Eagle Atty. Danilo Roleda, PENAPLE Chairman’s message from Gille and the national president’s message from Lim.
The whole affair will be succeeded by the Eagles Got Talent.
