RAGCOM-10 GENERAL ASSEMBLY. In an effort to strengthen its role as development communicators, the Regional Association of Government Communicators in Northern Mindanao (RAGCOM-10) has forged a communication partnership agreement with the Mindanao Daily Group of Publications. THE Regional Association of Government Communicators in Region 10 (Ragcom-10), in partnership with Mindanao Daily Group of Publications publisher of Mindanao Daily and Business Week Mindanao, is holding a Journalism Workshop for information officers today and tomorrow (April 12-13, 2018 at the Limketkai Grand Caprice Restaurant, Cagayan de Oro City.
Expected to attend are some 40 regional information officers from various offices and agencies of government.
Dante Sudaria, president and CEO of Mindanao Daily Group of Newspapers, said the training workshop aims to enhance the participants’ communication skills and equip them with the necessary media tools.
The first day covers basic topics on Journalism/Communication Values and Ethics, Effective Business Letter Writing, and PR Writing. Second day consists of topics on PR and Marketing, issues management and Crisis Communications, Interview Techniques and Broadcasting, Photojournalism and Writing for Social Media.
The workshop will be handled by experienced and competent media personalities who are experts in the field of journalism. It is designed as well to provide a platform of best practices and protocols in the exercise of their respective tasks as partners of development, Sudaria said.
Ragcom 10 is ably represented by its President Merlym H. Ybañez, a duly recognized association of government communicators in Northern Mindanao.
On the other hand, the Mindanao Daily News Corporation, a duly licensed media entity in Cagayan de Oro City will be ably represented by its President and CEO Dante M. Sudaria.
Earlier, the two entities had entered into a communication partnership agreement aimed at strengthening the dissemination of government information and communication most vital to the interest of public service.
The forging of such partnership agreement is most pressing in the light of the challenging roles water districts are facing in this era of change.
On its part, the Mindanao Daily News Corporation, publisher of Mindanao Daily and Business Week Mindanao has offered its editorial and publication services for the press releases, stories and photos submitted by the members of Ragcom, Sudaria said.
Mindanao Daily News Corporation guarantees substantial spaces for the stories, news releases, including photos submitted by members of Ragcom, he added.
Ragcom, on one hand, will support the Mindanao Daily News Corporation for the business sustainability of Mindanao Daily and Business Week Mindanao through advertorials, announcements and other form of advertisements submitted by members of Ragcom.
