Yamaha makes sure that each customer is given the best quality of service all over the world. The training of technicians and their continued progression to be as skilled as they can be is taken seriously; the development of each personnel is just as important as providing care for customers. This is the purpose of the Yamaha Technical Academy (YTA) that aims to achieve the highest standard of customer satisfaction by providing certified experts in the field. Each technician goes through multiple sets of qualifications to be awarded certification that ranges from Bronze, Silver, and the highest one of Gold. The system for this was developed by taking the best practices from all over the world and making a unified process of certification which results in the improvement of personnel.
As part of the global YTA program, the Yamaha Technician Grand Prix allows 3s Shop Service Technicians to demonstrate their technical knowledge and skills in a high level competition. This is done to further recognize their talents, encourage them to raise their proficiency and motivate them to achieve No.1 CS through “One to One Service”. The Yamaha Technician Grand Prix happens all over the Globe with regional competitions determining the best candidate for each country that will qualify for the World Technician Grand Prix.
The Philippine edition reached its finale alongside Yamaha Motor Philippines’ Rev Hall exhibit at the World Trade Center. The top 20 participants have earned their way and will have the opportunity to represent the Philippines. All the prestige that is given at the end of this competition is secondary because the primary goal is to give the best service, experience and care to the customers. All these are done for the passion of riding, creating, and giving; this is “Revs your Heart” in action.
