Cagayan de Oro City – Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, Regional Office 10 in partnership with World Vision Development Foundation will conduct Free Training on Food Processing to 25 women survivors of sexual exploitation on February 14, 2018 at Cagayan de Oro Bugo School of Arts and Trade (COBSAT) this City.
The program dubbed as “The Heart of Empowering Women: Creating Alternatives to Women through Skills Training for Economic Development” aims to empower women of age 20 and above, who are solo parents/women high risk of trafficking and unemployed through skills training in Food Processing to help improve their productivity and increase opportunity to augment their income.
Director Tarhata S. Mapandi, the OIC-Regional Director of TESDA-10 is appreciative of the support of World Vision Development Foundation who was instrumental in facilitating the program to be scheduled on this special date.
Aside from the opportunity to be trained for employment oppotunities, the program will also serve as a psychosocial exercise for the women at risk/survivors who underwent traumatic experience.
