Hwaseong Dream Park, South Korea--The Team Misamis Occidental-Philippines battlers landed third place (BRONZE MEDALIST) in the recently held Asia-Pacific Middle East Little League Baseball Tournament held in this beautiful place in South Korea, the Hwaseong Dream Park.
With the players of young boys from the historical town of Jimenez, Misamis Occidental, the Jimenez Boys were also the champion in last year’s Northern Mindanao Regional Athletic Association (NMRAA) and this year’s Palarong Pambansa champions that earned them to represent the Philippine team to play for the Asia-Pacific Middle East Region Little League Baseball 2017 championship started June 30 – July 7, 2017
Participated in the Group B Category in the tournament, Team Mis Occ-Philippines garnered the No 1 post as it wins over India (23-2), China (23-11) and Hong Kong (12-2) and qualified in the semi-finals but losses to the Japanese Boys with a score 12-1
With four wins and one loss in the tournament, team Mis-Occ-Philippines was awarded the third place or the Bronze Medalist of the Asia Pacific Middle East Little league baseball Championship 2017.
The Team Misoc thanked Governor Hermie Ramiro, who joined the delegation in South Korea together with Jimenez Mayor Rosario Balais, representative from the Department of Education (DepEd) Division of Misamis Occidental and some provincial officials.
