THE 18th City Council during its regular session Monday presided over by Vice Mayor Raineir Joaquin V. Uy approved an ordinance confirming the appointment of Ms. Evangeline C. Tapangan as the new city civil registrar.
Tapangan replaces Norma Diputado, who recently retired from service.
The ordinance was endorsed by the committee on laws and rules chaired by Councilor Ian Mark Nacaya, as recommended by Mayor Oscar Moreno.
Pursuant to RA 7160, heads of departments or offices in the city shall be approved with the concurrence of the majority of the Sanggunian members subject to Civil Service Rules and Regulations.
