The Social Security System’s (SSS) Tacurong branch was accorded the Civil Service Commission (CSC) Region XII Seal of Excellence Award after it garnered “Excellent” ratings of over 90 percent under the CSC Report Card Survey for two straight years. The annual CSC survey measures the performance of government offices based on interviews and feedback from clients regarding frontline service delivery, response to members’ needs and compliance with the Anti-Red Tape Act (ARTA).
SSS Tacurong serves nearly 61,700 members and about 1,350 employers and handles an average of 974 transactions daily. The SSS branch is only the third government office in Sultan Kudarat with the CSC Seal of Excellence, after it was awarded to the Tacurong Local Government Unit and Public Attorney’s Office in 2014. The feat of SSS Tacurong — which received survey ratings of 93.61 percent and 90.33 percent for 2014 and 2015, respectively — poses as a challenge and obligation to other civil servants in the province to improve its services for clients.
