The new state-of-the-art fleet of 12 units, aptly called as luxury buses, will ply 24 hours the 284-kilometer route in five stops – Malaybalay City, Valencia City, Maramag, Quezon (all in Bukidnon) and Davao City, its final destination.
The new 2019 models of King Long buses will seat a total of 45 passengers in a 2x2 seating arrangement, luxury reclining seats, LCD monitor, fast charging USB port, folding table, cup holder, leg rest, middle arm rest, foot pedal, luxury luggage rack with cover, reading lamp, aluminum passenger and luggage compartment, floor cover, sliding window, middle toilet and middle door, GPS and CCTV.
Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) 10 director Aminoden Guro, who witnessed the ceremonial launch of the luxury fleet yesterday at RTMI’s Yacapin branch here, welcomed the addition of the 12 units in the Cagayan de Oro-Davao route, saying it will be a boon to the passengers along the way.
“This is in line with the government’s aim to modernize public transport in the country. And RTMI is certainly going in that direction,” Guro said.
In a separate statement, Yanson Group of Bus Companies president Leo Rey Yanson said that “we are making a major venture to modernize our fleet with new and elegant technology that will provide ultimate riding experience to our stakeholders.”
“The fleet modernization would create better opportunities for ridership growth as far a effective and efficient service in terms of safety and comfort,” Yanson continued.
Yanson Group of Bus Companies is the parent of Rural Transit of Mindanao, Inc.
