Earlier this year, ROPALI Corporation, one of the country’s top motorcycle dealers that started in Cauayan, Isabela, and TECO Electric and Machinery Co., Ltd., a Taiwanese company that specializes in developing and manufacturing electric motors, signed a joint venture and last November 10, the now known as ROPALI-TECO Corporation (ROTECO) has officially launched its Electric Tricycle (E-TRIKE) and Electric Jeepney (E-JEEPNEY). The President of Ropali Corporation, Roberto P. Alingog, said during his opening remarks, “ROTECO’s primary objective is to introduce innovation in the transport sector by creating battery powered E-Vehicles that will dramatically lower noise pollution and smoke emission. Part of our advocacy is to drive social entrepreneurship with the objective of giving back to people by means of having clean air and clean living environment”.
Gracing the Product Launch, Chief Executive Officer of TECO, George Lien, said in his speech, “ROPALI and TECO believe that by bringing green and smart mobility, we can raise the bar of public transport in the Philippines. We have capitalized on the five premium qualities of our products: Safety, Power, Efficiency, Comfort and Stability. SPECS, as we call it, are qualities that help address the current issues of E-Vehicles.”
To give maximum returns to drivers and operators, the E-Trike assures a high cruising range of 80 kilometer for every battery life, thereby making it highly Efficient. In addition to having a 4 passenger + 1 driver format. For Power, the vehicle is outfitted with a powerful 2.3-kilowatt electric motor, ensuring 20% climbing capability to scale slopes and hills. The E-jeepney, on the other hand, has 12-kilowatt Electric Motor which produces 140Nm of torque. Moreover, the E-Jeepney has a 20 passenger + 1 driver format and has the capability of travelling a distance of 80 kilometers.
