The Rotary Club of Cagayan de Oro (RCCDO) and its Rotary Anns, recently inducted its new set of officers and board of directors at the Mallberry Suites & Business Hotel last July 01, 2018.
Philippine National Police (PNP) Regional Director for Region 10, Chief Superintendent Timoteo G. Pacleb, served as the keynote speaker who spoke before the officers and members of RCCDO, sharing about the government body’s mandate and functions of enforcing the law, preventing and controlling crimes, maintaining peace and order, and ensuring public safety and internal security.

Leading the club for the new Rotary year is Rotarian Danilo T. Empedrad (President). The other officers are: Leonides B. Quicoy (Vice President), Julino A. Dulfo (President-Elect), Antonio Agustin T. Rodano (Secretary), Joel A. Bernaldez (Treasurer), Tito Noel A. Mora (Club Administration Director), Jimmy Z. Casiño, Jr. (Club Service Director), Benjamin L. Booc (New Generation Director), Glenn Edward C. Dael (The Rotary Fund Director), Al Michael T. Mendoza (Public Image Director), and Antonio V. Fernandez (Immediate Past President).
Jointly celebrated was the induction of the officers of the Rotary Anns, led by Ann Ophelia G. Paano (President). Her team is made up of Riza C. Rodano (Vice President), Biema C. Along (Secretary), Marilou B. Dela Cruz (Asst. Secretary), Marie Lynn S. Booc (Treasurer), Cristina G. Casiño (Asst. Treasurer), Aida A. Gonzaga (Auditor), Rosalinda P. Caragos, Josy P. Aliñabon, Juliet T. Empedrad and Pamela Joy P. Valencia (Directors), and Angelie Mae C. Dael (Immediate Past President).
In his inaugural speech, RCCDO President Danny Empedrad emphasized the role of Rotary which is to bring together business and professional leaders in order to provide humanitarian services, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and to advance goodwill and peace around the world.
The presence of District 3870 Governor Frank Manga made the occasion even more memorable. Another special part of the evening was the oath of new members and the awarding of the 2017-18 Most Outstanding Rotarian(s) of the Year to Past Assistant Governor John Mark Sarraga and Rotarian Leony Quicoy, Most Outstanding Officer to Julino Dulfo, and Most Outstanding New Member to Jimmy Casiño, Jr.
The RCCDO Induction Night was an evening of renewed commitment among its officers and board of directors and unwavering support from its members. It was also an evening of fun, friendship and entertainment.
