THE 18th Charter Day of Valencia City in Bukidnon last Wednesday was made even more pomp with the opening of Robinsons Place Valencia.
The spacious three-level mall located along Dologon-Busco-Quezon Road is the only mall of the Gokongwei group to be surrounded with greenery from all sides that extends as far as the eye can see.
In fact, both the exteriors and interiors of the mall are heavily inspired by Bukidnon’s staple which is pineapple.
Robinsons Place Valencia is the 51st shopping mall of the group in the country and its 17th in Mindanao.
It received heavy tax incentives from the city government which has strongly campaigned for more investments to pour into the city, dubbed as the crossroads between northern and southern Mindanao.
For a span of six years that would last until 2024, Robinsons Place Valencia is tax-exempt from business tax, realty tax and graduated tax.
For its part, Robinsons Land Corp. described Valencia City as the center of trade and commerce given its strategic location of being at the center of Mindanao smacked right between the top urban hubs of Cagayan de Oro and Davao.
The opening of Robinsons Place Valencia introduces Robinsons Land Corp.’s reliable in-house retail brands to shoppers based in this part of the island: Robinsons Department Store, Robinsons Supermarket, Robinsons Appliances, Handyman, Daiso Japan, South Start Drug and Movieworld.
It also brings to residents of Bukidnon their first taste of 3D cinema with Movieworld deploying five 2D theaters and one 3D theater. (Their debut offering last Wednesday was the much-anticipated DC’s Aquaman.)
As if that’s not enough, their family-friendly food gallery and wellness wing feature a children’s playground – a first in the country.
Robinsons Place Valencia features various fast food and casual dining restaurants, coffee shops, novelty food shops and dozens of designer brand boutiques.
The opening last Wednesday was graced by Robinsons celebrity endorser Xian Lim and Miss Earth Philippines 2018 Sylvia Cortesi.
The opening celebration will last till the end of the month with guestings by Enzo Pineda today (December 13), PinkFong and Baby Shark on the 16th, Tayo the Little Bus on December 20 capping with an outdoor concert and fireworks display on December 30.
Staying true to its promise of bringing the services closer to the people, Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) has opened its 67th branch in Agusan del Sur recently. “Napakalayong lugar ito kaya nga dapat magkaroon ng isang branch doon para mabigyan ng tulong ang ating mga kababayan...
