TAGUM CITY--Anchored on the mission to guarantee the safety of every business establishments in the city, the Philippine National Police Tagum City Police Office conducted a physical security survey last September 4, 2018.
Under the supervision of PSI Cosme Masepequiña, the newly installed Operation Officer and the Traffic Officer of the local police station, the said activity was able to check and monitor the security measures and strategies taken by the malls and other business establishments which are accessible to the public in ensuring the safety of their patrons against any forms of threats and unintended forays.
This operation is also in preparation for the upcoming Mindanao Business Conference (MinBizCon) to be held in Tagum on September 13 to 15 which will be attended by the bigwigs of the business world and bureaucrats from both national and international scenes.
Philippine President Rodrigo Roa Duterte will be the most honoured guest of the MinBizCon which is jointly hosted by the Tagum City Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Davao City Chamber of Commerce & Industry and where Mayor Allan Rellon will exhibit how viable and dynamic Tagum is.
“Gi-strengthen nato ang atong mga programa para malikayan ang mga daotan nga mahitabo sa atong syudad” [We strengthened our programs (regarding security, peace and order) to avoid any unfortunate events to happen in the city], said PSI Masepequiña in an interview.
He also stressed that this is not only due to the MinBizCon but because this is their duty and responsibility to provide a liveable, peaceful and secured city for all Tagumenyos.
Ralph Monton, the chief security officer of Gaisano Grand Mall located at Apokon Road, proudly expressed that a formation among his security personnel is regularly conducted to remind and to train them to be prepared for all threats concerning the safety of their stakeholders.
