OZAMIZ CITY, Misamis Occidental, -– The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) is bringing the Pas'ungko S'g MisOcc Trade Fair at Gaisano Mall, Southwing, Ozamiz City to showcase the products in the province of Misamis Occidental.
This two-week long activity, in collaboration with the provincial government of Misamis Occidental also highlights the product and efforts of the micro small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the province.
In his welcome message, Ozamiz City Tourism Officer Jaime Tomada said, “This is one way of promoting our products and tourism in the province."
For her part, DTI Provincial Director Jane Marie Tabucan shared that entrepreneurs are revolutionizing the economy, as well as the society.
“This is the lane grass to contribute in the national agenda under the administration of President Duterte in poverty alleviation because somehow the entrepreneurs contribute in their own in the economy,” Tabucan said.
The Pasu’ungko Trade Fair, which was derived from the province’s own Pas’ungko Festival, showcases various products made by DTI-assisted medium and small enterprises in Misamis Occidental such as suman (rice cake) sa Clarin, Nelly’s Coffee & Tablea, San Vicente RIC, Kahaayag Development Program Inc., SEAK 1 RIC, Jimmy’s Homemade food products, Lola Luz’ best goodies, RICCOL, Driftwood Garden Furniture, Marivel Merza Furniture, BUCARCO, COSIBA ARC MPC, KINSARCO, TIFABA, MAMSINSETI, MWAI, Eat Fat Natural food products, Delta Business Ventures, Quinxies food house, Dane’s Bakeshop, 5H Enterprises, Vicar Nature’s Power Products, Francing’s Honey, RJH Family Enterprise, Mommy G’s Nuts n’ More, Global Nature’s healing services, IC’s Best, AJ Khen Enterprise, Bambam food products, Thea Marie Bakeshop and Jhas Well Trading.
Also, the highlight product which is Ozamiz’s best dragon fruit ice cream produced by one of the province’s chef Johann Dagandara, who is the owner of The Promenade and Johann’s Cuisine.
Provincial Governor Herminia Ramiro said the trade fair is part of the province’s 89th annual anniversary of Misamis Occidental and the 9th Pas’ungko S’g Festival.
“We are so proud and we are so thankful to DTI for having this, for bringing in Misamis Occidental to Gaisano Mall,” the governor said.
She also said that because of Pas’ungko we are creating greater revenue generation for local communities and to our SMEs entrepreneurs in our food, grass port and refill sector because of the festival we can sell our products originating from 17 local government units (LGUs).
Pasungko likewise aims to showcase the bounties and best tourism event and designations deserve aggressive promotions.
Pas'ungko Trade fair, on the other hand, is the component of Pas'ungko S'g Misamis Occidental Festival which recently garnered first runner up in the whole Philippines in the category of festival among festival.
