COUNCILOR Ian Mark Nacaya commended the City Mayor’s Office, City Legal Office and City Administrator’s Office for looking into the need to secure land titles for government lots.
The councilor said this has been overlooked for many years.
It may be recalled that upon the endorsement of Mayor Oscar Moreno and Vice Mayor Raineir Joaquin V. Uy, the 18th City Council authorized the city mayor to apply in behalf of the city government of Cagayan de Oro for Special Patents for lots occupied by the city hall, Gaston Park, Postal Office, City Central School, Cogon Market, City Jail and Macanhan Relocation Project.
Councilor Nacaya cited that the lots have been fully utilized and projects have been implemented in these areas but the need for land titles has not been acted upon.
He expressed gladness that the matter will finally be taken cared of.
“I commend the City Legal Office for doing its job,” he cited.
