Mitsubishi Motors Philippines (MMPC) started the year strong with January 2016 sales at 14% above December levels and 50% more than January 2015 sales. A total of 4,867 units were sold last month, of which almost a third were accounted for by the all-new Montero Sport with 806 units and the previous generation Montero with 816 units.
“In spite of the issues that hounded the Montero Sport last year, we are truly delighted with the outcome of total reservations received as well as actual sales turn out last month. It confirms the market’s confidence in the Montero Sport brand” said MMPC First Vice President for Marketing Froilan Dytianquin. “We believe that apart from its strikingly attractive and exciting styling, other features such as the new powerful and efficient 2.4 MIVEC Clean Diesel, class-leading 8 speed automatic transmission, advances four-wheel drive system and safety features convinced our customers to consider the all-new Montero Sport” he added.
