For the past two months, Mindanao Daily under the initiative of CEO/president Dante Sudaria and vice president for business development Ruffy Magbanua have been conducting journalism seminars to key organizations in society.
So far, three organizations have already been recipients of the seminars, each of them have significant roles in community and in nation building as a whole. The three are the Bukidnon Association of Water Districts (BAWD), Regional Association of Government Communicators (RAGCOM) Ten and information officers from different local government units (LGUs) in Bukidnon and Lanao del Norte.
The first of the two-day seminar covers basic topics on Journalism/Communication Values and Ethics, Effective Business Letter Writing, and PR Writing. Second day consists of topics on PR and Marketing, issues management and Crisis Communications, Interview Techniques and Broadcasting, Photojournalism and Writing for Social Media.The workshops are handled by experienced and competent media personalities who are experts in the field of journalism. They are designed as well to provide a platform of best practices and protocols in the exercise of their respective tasks as partners of development, Sudaria said.
The signing of a partnership communication agreement between Mindanao Daily and the seminar recipients highlight the two-day event.
Mindanao Daily News Corporation, a duly licensed media entity in Cagayan de Oro City will be ably represented by its President and CEO DANTE SUDARIA.
The communication partnership agreement aims to strengthen the dissemination of information and communication management of water districts most vital to the interest of public service.
The forging of such partnership agreement is most pressing in the light of the challenging roles water districts are facing in this era of change.
On its part, the Mindanao Daily News Corporation, publisher of Mindanao Daily and Business Week Mindanao is offering its editorial and publication services for the press releases, stories and photos submitted by the seminar recipients, Sudaria said.
Mindanao Daily News Corporation guarantees substantial spaces for the stories, news releases including photos submitted by the seminar recipients after they have gone back to their respective offices, he added.
The groups, on one hand, will support the Mindanao Daily News Corporation for the business sustainability of Mindanao Daily and Business Week Mindanao through advertorials, announcements and other form of advertisements submitted by the seminar recipients. (Mark Francisco)
