PASAY CITY – In a bid to bolster the successful holding of the 3rd Mindanao Journalism Award this year, project director Allan M. Mediante submitted a proposal to Jetti Petroleum Inc., at its corporate headquarters, this city.
Mediante had a brief conference with Jetti Corporate Affairs Manager Leo P. Bellas and Communications Manager Ms. Dominique T. Lopez.
Mindanao Daily which is hosting the annual Journalism Awards for 3 years now expressed gratitude for Jetti’s support to Business Week Mindanao projects.
The journalism awards is also supported by Phinma Education Network who offered scholarship grants to the winners.
Launched last December 10, 2016, the awards will culminate on March 22, 2017.
There will be contests on NewsWriting, Feature Writing, Photo Journalism, Sports Writing, Science Reporting and Business writing, and Civic Journalism.
Contestants are divided into 4 categories: High School, College, Govt. information officers and private company writers.
Other companies who have expressed their willingness to support the project are Veterans Bank, Ayala Corp., EastWest Bank, Holcim Philippines and Contempo Property Holdings of Cebu City.
Provincial contests are slated to start next week and will wind up on March 5. 2917.
