A hotel industry expert has revealed that the city of Cagayan de Oro will boom fast this year and in the years to come, as evident with the sprouting of condominiums and other real estate businesses related to housing and developments.
In an exclusive interview with Mindanao Daily News Online, Jerome De la Fuente, Limketkai Luxe general manager, he said that there is no stopping now to the continued rise of this city to greatness, as far as economic, infrastructure ,and business activities.
"I can see it now that nobody can stop the fast-rising economic and infracture developments of the city, most especially that this is the center of business and commerce in Southern Philippines," the hotel executive said.
De la Fuente said a lot of local businessmen in the country are interested to pour investments in the city. Even businessmen from China, Korea and other Asian countries have also shown interest in putting up their respective businesses here.
'REVOLUTIONALIZED' MARKETING STRATEGY
Asked how he did his marketing strategy for the hotel, De la Fuente said he has revolutionized his strategy after thouroughly studying what he thinks should work.
With his 40 years of experience in the hotel and restaurant industry both here and abroad, the hotel manager was confident then that his marketing strategy would work. So, he visited mayors and governors in Marawi and Lanao provinces to solicit for their support and patronize Limketkai Luxe Hotel.
Although he admitted it was too risky for him being new to Cagayan de Oro City but it was the best strategy to easily improve sales and accumulate his new list of hotel clients who are really frequenting the city during weekends.
"It was very successful strategy. I have invited Mayor Gandamra just before that tragic event that happened in the only islamic City of the country. I also invited Bombit, the Adiongs and all other rich Muslim clans in Lanao provinces and the ARMM region," de la Fuente said.
He said being the tallest hotel in Mindanao he envisioned Limketkai Luxe Hotel to be the center of all hotels in the island ready to host bigger conventions, weddings, debuts, parties and all other occasions.
"Right now this hotel is very stable in terms of corporate clients that have become our partners as they've always patronized us whenever they are in Cagayan de Oro for meetings, vacation, business trips and other related activities, the hotel executive concluded.
