After several months of speculation, Honda Philippines Inc. (HPI) finally held the public launch of the all-new RS150 during this year’s Inside Racing Grand Prix (IRGP) finals at Carmona Racing Circuit. Daiki Mihara, Honda Philippines, Inc. President and Noriaki Abe, Chief Operating Officer of Asia & Oceana Region of Honda Motor Japan, were present to grace the occasion.
“The All New RS150 is the answer to young customers who are looking for the freedom of high performance on a sharply designed bike with class leading technology and features” said Elie Salamangkit Jr., Honda Product Planning Manager. The RS150 is powered by a 149.76 cc Liquid-cooled DOHC engine matted to a 6-speed manual transmission. It produces maximum power of 11.8KW (16.0 PS) at 9,000 rpm and maximum torque of 13.5 Nm at 6,500 rpm. The RS 150 is equipped with Honda’s PGM-Fi system, enabling it to achieve a Euro-3 compliant emission rating. Safety being Honda’s top priority, the RS 150 has a built-in Bank Angle sensor which automatically shuts-off the engine in the event of a spill.
With an SRP of P 93,900, the RS 150 is available in three colors, Black, Winning Red and Space Magenta Metallic in Honda Shops nationwide.
