A new one-level corporate building will soon rise in the uptown part of this city, particularly along Masterson Avenue.
But unlike any other edifice, this one is more environment-friendly and cost-efficient.
The new corporate offices of S.V. More Pharma (Butuan) will only take five months to complete, thanks to the best of imported prefabricated materials as conceptualized by contractor Habitat Island Living.
Habitat Island Living CEO Robert Comerford proudly said in an interview with this writer that the entire structure will emit 85 percent lesser carbon footprint and made of 96 percent recyclable product.
“It is a lightweight system that is super quick to install. Of course, it goes without saying that it is fire resistant, can withstand an 8.5 magnitude earthquake and even resistant to wind gusts up to 207 kilometers n hour,” Comerford continued.
He also said that with the green building that he has conceptualized for S.V. More Pharma, it will ramp up 85 percent savings on energy cost and uses half the manpower.
“Thus, there will be less wastage and less probability of breakages. It can even reduce outdoor ambient sound up to 45 percent,” Comerford reported.
With dozens of commercial and residential projects under its name, Island Habitat Living has been in the country for five years.
Its reputation of employing light yet sturdy concrete materials and speed of construction at a modest cost has earned the contractor projects from Manila to Palawan to Siargao and many other parts in the country.
During the groundbreaking yesterday, Comerford promised S.V. More Pharma (Butuan) executives that they can inaugurate their new offices as early as 20 weeks from the start of construction.
Staying true to its promise of bringing the services closer to the people, Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) has opened its 67th branch in Agusan del Sur recently. “Napakalayong lugar ito kaya nga dapat magkaroon ng isang branch doon para mabigyan ng tulong ang ating mga kababayan...
