(AGFI) has inked a Memorandum of Understanding with a pledge of Php500 million to the Educational Research and Development Assistance (ERDA) Foundation and Xavier University to put up a Technical-Vocational High School for scholars at the PHIVIDEC Industrial Estate in Villanueva, Misamis Oriental.
The school, which will be called Andrew L. Gotianun, Sr. Center for Integrated Technologies, Xavier University, is envisioned to produce graduates who are world-ready, with international standard competencies, and spiritual and social commitment.
AGFI shall finance the construction of the school buildings, workshops, and dormitories, as well as the provision of furniture and other equipment, IT, Tech-Voc machinery and transport vehicles. The Foundation also commits to partly finance the annual operating costs of the senior high school for the first five years of operations so all its students can attend as full, live-in scholars.
Dedicated to the memory of Filinvest Founder Andrew L. Gotianun, Sr., the school represents his advocacy for education and his commitment to the progress of Mindanao.
