BDO Unibank (BDO) has been recognized with multiple awards in the recently held 2016 Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Stakeholders Awards.
The country’s largest bank, to date, was a recipient of the following recognitions:
Commercial Bank that Generated the Largest Overseas Filipino Remittances, under the Overseas Filipino Remittances category;
Outstanding PhilPaSS (Philippine Payments and Settlements System) REMIT Participant and Outstanding PhilPaSS Participant Servicing Customer ePayments-Commercial Bank, under the BSP PhilPaSS category;
Outstanding Partner Bank-Universal & Commercial Banks, under the Clean Note Policy Campaign category; and
Best Corporate Governance Disclosure and Transparency Award, under the Special Category.
Meanwhile, the Best Corporate Governance Disclosure and Transparency Award, a new category introduced only this year, recognized the banks that ranked in the 2015 ASEAN Corporate Governance Awards Top 50 ASEAN Publicly Listed Companies. BDO was among the companies that garnered the highest scores in the ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard.
The BSP Stakeholders’ Awards is held annually to honor outstanding partner institutions for their strong support and contribution to the statistical undertakings, information requirements, and advocacy programs of the BSP.
