Joe Mercado, Konsum Technologies CEO, Introduces Ashima Payroll System
With a team of thirty people and a span of two and a half years, Cebu-based developer Konsum Technologies Inc. created an app called Ashima after experiencing the challenge of finding a suitable payroll system.
Ashima is a government compliant, user-friendly payroll system that integrates human resource (HR) processes from employee on-boarding to payroll management that aims to democratize HR management as opposed to centralized and silo-based HR systems.
By ensuring trustworthy information, the application encourages responsibility and collaboration in the corporate workplace. Today’s companies need to be highly flexible to achieve its goals in order to exceed in their services whether they may be startup companies with as low as 25 employees or large corporations with several branches. Ashima creates an environment wherein the increasing engagement of employees turns into a catalyst for increased productivity and levels of satisfaction.
Ashima’s system is geared towards today’s workforce: younger, tech savvy, creative and independent. With a tap on their mobile phones, employees can now record their attendance, view work schedules (shift planning and time keeping) and process payrolls, request leaves and overtime through employee data and files.
Meanwhile, the HR department could have full control of every aspect in the workplace using the reports in a web-based exchange and easy access to consolidate employee data. Ashima’s real time information capturing goes straight to a cloud storage, and therefore bringing efficiencies in the administration.
“With the platform, democratization means collaboration. You want to distribute responsibility. We move from the central backroom
administration to shared responsibility and that’s what we try to do.” Konsum Technologies CEO Joe Mercado said.
Ashima is available anywhere for everyone and is accessible from any location through web browsers or the mobile app. No delays, errors, or missing data, leaving you free to focus on business.
